The Darkness
people tend to fear this faceless manifestation
even though you live with it everyday
the fear of the inky shadowy unknown frightens those
who fear that they might find themselves within its tangles
when you close your eyes
when you shift your gaze
it is all around you
watching you like a animal ready to pounce
and it is yet in this darkness that we find bliss
in the darkness we can hide our deepest and most disturbing thoughts
tucked away where no one can see them
our lives end in this
we close our eyes one final time and take in the last rays of light
untill plunging into the total abysmal night that is
